Islamabad, September 16, 2024 – The Virtual University of Pakistan launched its week-long cricket camp today with an intense net practice session at the Comsats Cricket Ground in Islamabad. This camp aims to finalize the university’s men's cricket team for the HEC Intervarsity Competition, set to take place in mid-October 2024.
A total of 27 players, selected from regional trials held in Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Islamabad, participated in today's session, honing their skills ahead of the practice matches planned for the coming days.
Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti, Rector of the Virtual University of Pakistan, visited the camp to observe the players. He encouraged the students to put forth their best efforts during the training sessions and matches, expressing confidence that they will make VU proud in the upcoming HEC competition.
The camp will continue with additional net sessions and practice matches, offering students a prime opportunity to showcase their cricketing abilities.
